Refurbished Colonial Lady's Chair : Bombay Presidency : c. 1930
This elegant Lady's Chair is another Circa find from the colonial age. The whimsical curves juxtaposed with straight lines is a prominent feature of colonial design. The chair was intentionally designed without arms and an unusually low seat to enable women to sit comfortably with their voluminous gowns. This gorgeous chair has been upholstered with gold benarasi silk brocade, adding a touch of glamour to the chair.
